At the Council Meeting on May 22nd, 2024, Borough Council approved of beginning the bid process for the milling and resurfacing of several Borough roads with the bid opening scheduled for the June 12th Council Meeting, 6pm at the Borough Hall.

Sealed proposals will be received by the Wesleyville Borough of Erie County at 3421 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA, 16510 until 4PM on June 12th, 2024.

The bid packet is for 3 Borough-owned roads:

  • Gray Avenue, full length from Eastern Ave to Willow St.
  • Willow Street, from Buffalo Rd to Fremont St.
  • Idlewood Drive, full length from Water St to Market St.

This is broken down into:

  • 4460 SY Milling of Existing Asphalt Pavement Surface,
  • 145 Ton Superpave Scratch Course,
  • 368 Ton Superpave Wearing Course,
  • 23 Ton Superpave Base Course, and
  • 6 ADA ramps.

Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $975.00 per calendar day.

Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality.

The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality.

A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
