Borough Square

The historic Borough Square, located at the intersection of Market Street and Buffalo Road, has been a central part of the community since the early 1800s, appearing on the Borough’s earliest maps.

The Borough owns and maintains all four corners of the square. Over the years, the square has served as a hub for commerce, transportation, and community events, reflecting the Borough’s rich history and evolving needs.

Looking ahead, the Borough plans to invest in improvements to enhance the square’s accessibility and functionality. Planned upgrades include bus shelters, seating areas, improved lighting, and landscaping enhancements, creating a more welcoming and pedestrian-friendly environment. These efforts aim to preserve the square’s historic charm while adapting it to better serve the community’s modern needs.
