PT Public Works Laborer

General Description

A Public Works Laborer is a Borough employee under the direct supervision of the Borough Public Works Supervisor.

The primary responsibility of this part-time position is assisting with the Borough’s weekly garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections. Additional public works tasks may be assigned as needed by the Public Works Supervisor.

Compensation

  • Part-time, hourly position
  • $16/hr
  • 24 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
  • $250 annual clothing allowance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report for duty at the scheduled hours set by the Public Works Supervisor.
  • Ride on the back of the truck to collect garbage.
  • Ride on the back of the truck to collect recycling.
  • Operate or assist in the dump truck for yard waste collection.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Public Works Supervisor.
