Grass and Brush Collection

This service is one of many provided by the Public Works Department as part of the quarterly garbage fee paid by residents. It is available to all Borough residents for residential yard debris generated within the Borough. This service is not available to commercial operators or for debris from outside the Borough.

Quick Facts:

Debris must be placed in bins and not bags. Bins must be able to be lifted by one person and easily dumped into a Public Works dump truck.

When:

Collection occurs weekly on Wednesday mornings, from the beginning of March through the end of November. Please ensure your materials are placed at the curb by Tuesday night to avoid missing the pickup. If the route is not completed on Wednesday, leave your bin at the curb, and the crew will collect it by the end of the week. Do not place stuff out to the curb any more than 24 hours before Wednesday morning. Please refrain from placing the stuff out to the curb any day other than Wednesdays as this service is only able to be offered on that day which reduces the labor burden on the Team. *Move above quickfacts*

Note: The Borough also picks up Christmas trees! For several Wednesdays after Christmas, simply place your tree at the curb, and it will be collected. *TAGLINE BOX*

In addition to curbside pickup, residents can drop off yard debris at the Recycling Center on the eastern end of Woodlawn. A marked receptacle is available year-round, accessible through the person-gate. *Quick Facts*

Please note: The Borough cannot accept tree logs bigger than 4 inches and branches longer than 6 feet, or any other large items that are difficult to move or dispose of. *Quick Facts*
