An hourly administrative position that is part-time (20-24hr/week) with flexibility on shift times and an option for Fridays off weekly if the candidate chooses. Hourly compensation range of $19-21/hr, depending on candidate experience.

General Description

The primary responsibility of the Financial Administrator is to receive, account for, and disburse all Borough funds under the supervision of the Borough Manager, closely collaborating with the Borough Council Financial Chair and the Borough Council. This role encompasses overseeing various activities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, budget development, personnel files, insurance, and payroll. Additionally, the Financial Administrator is tasked with managing the financial administration of grants received by the Borough. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Handle receipt, verification, deposit, withdrawal, and disbursement of Borough fiscal assets and funds.
  2. Reconcile Borough banking and investment accounts under the supervision of the Borough Council Finance Chair.
  3. Prepare routine and special reports for the Borough Council as required by the Borough Manager.
  4. Stay informed about relevant state and local statutes governing the Borough of Wesleyville’s financial matters.
  5. Track and Analyze the Borough Council-approved budget and transfer funds as necessary.
  6. Receive and process payroll records, preparing and submitting bi-weekly and special payrolls.
  7. Manage personnel files for each Borough employee, excluding the Borough Manager.
  8. Administer employee benefit, insurance, and retirement funds and programs.
  9. Assist with answering phones, greeting the public, and filing.
  10. Undertake special projects and tasks assigned by the Borough Manager.
  11. Uphold high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
